I added a nifty little chat box to the lower right corner here… doesn’t work in IE, and I don’t know or care why. Oh well.
[Edit: Probably because IE is missing the flash plugin. :S Anyways, the little meebo widget will probably show me as offline mostly… as I only use meebo when I’m on vacation. Meh.]

I just stuck ZZT and Super ZZT onto my flash drive… can’t believe I’d forgotten about them. They’re old DOS games that run fine under XP… and are still fun to edit with even today. I should also stick the latest MegaZeux 2.8x branch on there too, later, although MZX games actually have music and tend to be bigger, so I wouldn’t be able to fit as many. [Read more →]

Yesterday I was playing the Suicide Barrels gamemode for Garry’s Mod 10… most fun I’ve had online in a long time! I highly recommend jumping into a server with it. Note: You don’t need to download SB from that link unless you want to run a server… if you’re a client just join a server and you’ll download the files you need automatically, thanks to Garry’s coding.
But today, Steam is down, and I am sad. 🙁
It also reminds me how much I want a Wii. >:(

So I went Wii hunting today… came back with a Wiimote and a nunchuck, but no Wii. Word has it GameStop and Toys-R-Us are getting some Sunday… I’m gonna camp out at GameStop for an hour and hopefully get one.

The day after I get me 60mb XAMPP Lite server down to 40mb, the DSL team releases a new version which no longer requires a 60mb hard disk image… so now I have even more space free, and I didn’t need to replace the server! Oh well, I still have my IRC server portable… 😉
If you’re curious, grab the “embedded” version. It’s great for running off of USB thumb drives. You get a bootable Linux system as well as a pre-packaged Qemu to run the same distro in a virtualized environment. The latest version, in addition to removing the HD image requirement (it uses the actual USB stick instead) also removes the Linux Qemu binary and shell script… oh well, no huge loss for me.

I think I should try to make a post daily, if possible, about my exploits.
Today I cobbled together a USB-Portable web server, so I think I’ll tell you about that. [Read more →]

Where is my Wii? I’ve been trying to get one since November. I have Zelda already… but I can’t find a Wii! Argh!

This is a neat little program I’m making to give Windows a Quake-styled console. It stretches across the top of your screen and slides down when you press WIN+TILDE. [Read more →]

I just made a small mod to this theme… now mousing over each of the wallpapers shows a preview, just like in Office 2007. [Read more →]

I added a Snorlax wallpaper to my blog. Just for Nikumubeki. You can change the wallpaper by using the little boxes under “Mega-ZBlog” up top there.
Eh, I’ll go ahead and throw in an Ozy and Millie one too.
